We recently had a call from a local vicar asking us to come and clear a church hall that had not been used for many years. We took the community spirit and offered our services for free, as the church had limited funds and charging them would take funds away from the other good things they are doing.

The hall had quite a mixture of things in it, from nursery chairs to kitchen equipment. It also had a safe which was very heavy, and had to go up a flight of stairs. There was a collection of the original church windows with beautiful painted glass panels, which had lay forgotten for many years.

It was a great feeling to distribute these no longer wanted items to the local community and return to the church the items forgotten for so long.
