The Law
Probate can be a minefield to navigate during some of the most difficult times in our lives. Dealing with all the clauses to the Inheritance Act 1984 – along with everything else – can feel like too much.
To help our customers, we have provided a short description of what the probate process involves.
Probate is required when :
The property is in the sole name of the deceased or tenants in common, or when the deceased has assets of £5,000 or more.
There are many clauses to the Inheritance Act, and we recommend that our customers seek professional advice. This can be done through your solicitor, or failing that, through the
Citizens’ Advice Bureau.
