Every week brings new challenges and this week was no different. We were called to a house in Fulham by a distressed family member asking for advice. When I came to the property I was met by a middle aged man who took me in. On entering I saw piles of anything and everything piled up nearly touching the ceiling. The man slept in a armchair as there was no room. This was a Mental Health problem sadly. Compulsive Hoarding is an illness that affects quite a few people. We took a softly softly approach and bit by bit sorted out the good from the bad, taking away the rubbish and giving that person their home back and their life.
